Strawbridge Studios Website
Strawbridge's Wordpress website needed a full redesign— bringing their online presence to the current decade.

Overview
A new chapter
Strawbridge Studios is the third largest school photography company in the United States. Their photography teams photograph millions of students across the country— and millions of families utilize their website to get information and order their pictures.
The Impact
The redesign of the Strawbridge website has improved the overall experience for all visitors to their site. Clearer hierarchy, implementation of consistent branding, and newly-integrated ADA compliance has transformed their previously lackluster website into a professional and modern internet presence.
The Problems
The old website did not reflect Strawbridge as a company
The most glaring issue with the old website was the lack of consistent branding throughout the website. Colors were inconsistent and dark, multiple fonts were used, and page layouts were unbalanced.
Over the years of exponential comapny growth, new pages and new information have been "frankenstiened" onto the website, causing many broken links and un-intuitive page structure.
The Solutions
Refreshed, professional, and accessible
The final redesign focused on improving clarity across everyday financial tasks through stronger hierarchy, simplified navigation, and more contextual transaction feedback. The updated interface made balances easier to compare, actions easier to locate, and activity flows easier to understand at a glance.

Lessons
A huge challenge, conquered
This website redesign was a huge undertaking, especially for a team of three. The most intense challenge was making the site ADA compatiable while keeping the design elements within our branding standards. Along with that challenge, it was also important the website remained as lightweight as possible so that load times passed the Core Web Vitals Assessment. Due to these parameters, I found myself making decisions between form and function; is this design element necessary to convey the message? Is this design element ADA compliant, and if not, is there a way to make it so?
In short, this project:
- Reinforced the importance of strategic design choices
- Taught me to take time to review my work as I go
- Affirmed that delegation and collaboration leads to great results
- Equipped me with more knowledge of the Wordpress and Elementor platforms
- Cemented my understanding of ADA compliance in web applications
